MacroSys employees Jason Melvin and Charlie Tennyson were recognized by the Administrator of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (U.S. DOT) Research and Innovative Technology Administration (RITA) for their contributions to the U.S DOT’s Hydrogen Road Tour.
The Hydrogen Road Tour was a thirteen day, cross-country tour of 31 cities, which showcased hydrogen vehicle and fueling technology from 9 different auto-makers and two energy firms. The purpose of this tour was to raise the visibility of the progress made by public and private stakeholders in bringing hydrogen powered vehicles to our nation’s roadways since the launch of President Bush’s Hydrogen Fuel Initiative.
Jason Melvin, a MacroSys speech writer in RITA’s Government, International and Public Affairs office, was responsible for developing speeches, talking points, blog posts, press releases, and media advisories for Administration leadership and stakeholders participating on the Hydrogen Road Tour.
Charlie Tennyson, a MacroSys Research Assistant, worked as part of a team to garner media interest in the Tour, provide assistance from RITA’s headquarters while the tour’s main organizers were on the road, and gather all the press coverage the Tour had earned for RITA.
MacroSys congratulates and thanks Jason and Charlie for their outstanding work in support of the Hydrogen Road Tour.
