MacroSys is a subcontractor team member of Battelle's winning bid for the Technical Support and Assistance for FHWA Office of Operations contract, awarded on January 31, 2006. MacroSys will lend its expertise in economics, statistics, urban and regional planning and extensive experience within U.S. Department of Transportation offices to tasks under all delivery strategies. The contract will
- support Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) Office of Operations activities related to the office’s six strategies through a continuous contractor(s)-supported program of technical assistance, technical studies, and technology transfer;
- develop and refine the tools, evaluations, and information needed to formulate FHWA's policy and/or legislative position on operations programs;
- investigate, evaluate, summarize, organize, and disseminate information as appropriate to support the technology transfer, technical assistance, and policy development efforts of FHWA’s Office of Operations;
- develop workshops, seminars, and other educational mechanisms that utilize interactive computer-aided instructional tools to demonstrate the application and effectiveness of Operation’s Strategies; and
- provide market research, evaluation, assessment and measurement, and information sharing.
