MacroSys has won a contract with Nathan Associates, Inc., to sort out major conceptual issues and understand data limitations for measuring Gross Regional Product (GRP) in Jordan. This effort is a part of the U.S. Agency for International Development's (USAID) Aqaba Zone Economic Mobilization (AZEM) project, which provides technical assistance and advisory services to Jordan's Aqaba Special Economic Zone's governing and development institutions.
Using the results of the analysis of issues and data limitations, MacroSys will develop a methodology for estimating GRP and help the Department of Statistics in Jordan in implementing the methodology.
